On 6^th to 8^th September 2024, students from Islam Medical College, Sialkot participated in the FMH Model United Nations Conference, a part of Lahore Debating Gala 2024 at FMH Medical College, organized by the FMH Debating Society.

Five students from 1^st and 2^nd Year MBBS represented our college, competing alongside institutions from across Pakistan in a highly competitive academic simulation of United Nations. Our students made us proud and won three awards, gaining valuable exposure and experience regarding International Relations and International Law.

The students of IMDC were also recognized as the runners-up for the Scavenger Hunt portion of the Lahore Debating Gala, and the winning three members of the team were also selected to speak in a special session (Best Delegate Crisis Cell) which is a fast paced committee of the best delegates from all across the event.

Special thanks to Worthy Chairman Islam Group, Mr. Chaudhary M. Islam, Respected Principal Islam Medical College, Prof. Dr. Zamir Ahmed, and Head of Department Physiology, Prof. Dr. Mamoona Shafiq, for encouraging the students to embark on this journey. The winners are: Abdullah Sikander (Outstanding Diplomat – UNHRC), Diyab Ahmed Maqsood (Outstanding Diplomat – PNA), and Ali Shahzad Mir (Honourable Mention – UNHRC).
