Obstetrics and Gynaecology courses are designed to educate students about male and female reproductive physiology in infancy, childhood and adolescence, reproductive endocrinology during menstruation, management of pregnancy and delivery and understanding of changes in postmenopausal years.
The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is fully equipped for care of uncomplicated as well as complicated Obstetrics and Gynaecological patients and facilities for fetal monitoring. There is an outpatient department which has four separate examination rooms and facility for neonatal examination, family planning and infertility management.
The Gynaecology operation theatre is fully equipped for carrying out emergency, conventional as well as laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries. There is a room for resuscitation and observation of the newborn as well.
