On October 16*, Students from Islam Medical & Dental College participated in the first edition of the Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, held at Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College, Sialkot.
Six students from MBBS, and one from DPT were chosen to be a part of the team representing Islam Medical & Dental College. The students outshone all their competitors, which included bright students from some of the most reputed medical institutions in Punjab. Our students won 5 out of the 6 biggest awards available and brought home the “Best Delegation” Trophy.
The individual achievements of our students are as follows:

- Diyab Maqsood: Best Delegate (WHO)
- Ali Shahzad Mir: Best Delegate (UNSC)
- Abrish Gull: Outstanding Diplomat (UNSC)
- Abdul Raheem Nasir: Outstanding Diplomat (WHO)
- Eman Fatima Bajwa: Outstanding Diplomat (WHO)
- Maryam Shahid: Honorable Mention (UNSC)
This achievement is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students to excel in co-curricular activities, as well as their studies. Special thanks to Worthy Chairman Islam Group of Colleges, Dr. Mohammad Islam, Respected Principal of Islam Medical College, Prof. Dr. Zamir Ahmed, and Head of Department of Physiology, Prof. Dr. Mamoona Shafiq, for always supporting the students and pushing them to bring out their true potential. We also thank the students of 3rd Year MBBS, namely Abdullah Sikander, and Ali Shahzad Mtr, for training their team members, and making this achievement possible.
